CLASS FIELD TRIP PROGRAMS
- Green Machine- The 2 hour class for Pre-K through 4th Grade focuses on the beauty and importance of South Florida's plant kingdom.
- Gardens Adventure- This 1 1/2 hour field trip for all age groups is an introduction to the flora and fauna of Florida native plants, birds, and animals in their natural habitat.
- Wildlife Encounters- a 2 hour wildlife encounter designed to educate students about wildlife and the environment.
- Wildlife Encounters Plus- a 2 1/2 hour wildlife encounter plus a live presentation by animal care staff.
- Galaxies & Gardens- the wonders of outer space as experienced at Buehler Planetarium, plus the splendor of the tropical gardens of Flamingo Gardens, all in one day.
- Adaption Artistry- this 2 hour eco-educational experience teaches how birds have adapted their beaks and feet over time.
CLASS FIELD TRIP RATES
Based on a minimum of 15 students.
Rates start at $7 and up per student. One adult chaperone admitted free for every 10 paid students. Additional chaperones are $12.50 each.
All field trips include a narrated tram tour along with a visit to the Everglades Wildlife Sanctuary to observe the Alligator, Flamingo, Otter, Bobcat and Panther Exhibits.
Prices subject to change without notice, until contract is signed.
MAKE A RESERVATION
Please have the following information available when you telephone the Education Department.
1. The date you would like to come on your field trip (have an alternate picked just in case).
2. Your group/school name, address, phone number, fax number and contact person.
3. Number of students/children and chaperones who will be attending.
4. The program you wish to book (see program links above).
5. Your arrival time.
6. Method of payment.
7. Whether or not you will need a picnic area reserved.
8. Mode of transportation for parking purposes.
After the Education Staff has booked your trip over the phone, you will receive a confirmation letter and additional instructions by fax or mail. Please review the letter and make sure that all the information is correct.
If you are bringing multiple classes, make a copy of the confirmation letter and information sheet for each teacher.
Your trip is NOT confirmed until the signed confirmation letter is returned to the Education Department. It is up to you to arrange and coordinate your transportation for the scheduled field trip to Flamingo Gardens.
