Orchid Society

Second Monday of Every Month at 7 PM

Interested in orchids but don’t know where to start? Maybe you’re a seasoned orchid grower that wants to connect with like-minded people and participate in continued education? The Flamingo Gardens Orchid Society was organized in 1989 to unite those interested in the education of its members with respect to the culture, growing, hybridization, preservation, and perpetuation of native and hybrid orchids and to provide an environment for the exchange of this information.

Interested in impacting meaningful environmental change in your own backyard? Rising temperatures, erosion of our beaches and waterways, pollution and coastal flooding are all issues facing South Florida and YOU can make a difference! The Eco-teers are a Flamingo Gardens volunteer outreach group that support habitat protection, coastal resilience, and environmental projects in Broward County, and provide climate change and environmental education to residents and visitors.

Monthly Saturdays from 8:00 AM - Noon

Monthly, meetings take place on the second (or first) Saturday of every month at Flamingo Gardens. The Flamingo Gardens Camera Club is a fun and friendly community for photography enthusiasts. Do you enjoy photography and want to improve your skills? Want to present your work and receive constructive feedback? The Flamingo Gardens Camera Club is the right choice for you!

Orchidteers Club

Weekly Thursdays at 9:30 AM

The Flamingo Gardens Orchidteers are a group of volunteers that meet weekly to mount new orchids and care for existing orchids while gaining hands-on experience. Their mission is to develop Florida native and exotic orchid repositories to build awareness, interest, and education at Flamingo Gardens. The Orchidteers consist of volunteers from different orchid societies, to Master Gardeners, orchid aficionados, and novices wanting to learn.
