Flamingo Gardens received many beautiful submissions for the Annual Photography Contest. It was tough work selecting all the finalists; thank you to everyone who shared their photos with us and congratulations to all that were selected for the exhibit.
From March 1st to March 30th, enjoy a stunning juried exhibit of photos capturing “light” (or the lack thereof), on display in the Gallery. Stroll through the exhibit and make sure to use the posted QR code in the Gallery to vote for your favorite finalist for the People’s Choice Award!
An awards reception is scheduled for the finalists and their guest, on March 30th and a reminder will be sent prior to the date. Awards will be presented for the following:
• Best in Show Overall $150
• Natural Photo Division: First Place $100, Second Place $75, Third Place $50
• Best Digitally Enhanced Photo: $100
• Up to a total of five (5) Overall Judge’s Recognition Awards $25 each
• Overall People’s Choice Award $100
Special thanks to Steve Romero our 2025 Photography Contest Judge. Steve was born in New York and his love for photography began in high school, in SoHo. In 1994, he received a prestigious scholarship allowing him to study in Rome.
Upon arriving in South Florida, Steve made an immediate impact by sharing his sunrise/sunset photographs to local Facebook groups. The desire was to share the beauty of our area with the community and inspire through photography. Almost 10 years after moving to South Florida, his goal is still the same as the first time he shared his photographs of our area: highlighting the true beauty of South Florida and making an everlasting impact on the people of our community.
Steve lives in Weston and still travels the world sharing his work throughout various social media platforms. He is also a highly recommended photographer for any special occasion.
