Show Us Your “Macros”

Exhibition set to open Saturday, February 3, 2024

Davie, FL: Inspired by the upcoming exhibit Microsculpture:  The Insect Portraits of Levon Biss, Flamingo Gardens asked to see your best Macro Photos.  Nearly 40 photographers answered the call, submitting nearly 100 photos for consideration.  A selection committee narrowed the field to 65 finalists.  Those finalists will be judged, winners chosen by a local photography expert, and for the first time, the public will be able to select their favorite for the new People’s Choice Award.

All finalists will be displayed in a juried exhibit that will run in the Flamingo Gardens Gallery from February 3 – 25, 2024.  From those displayed, awards will be presented for the following: The new People’s Choice Award ($100), also a new Best Digitally Enhanced Photo ($100), Best of Show ($150), First Place ($100), Second Place ($75), Third Place ($50), and up to five (5) Judge’s Recognition Awards ($25 each), at a special Awards Reception scheduled for the finalists and their guests on Friday, February 23, 2024.
