FLAMINGO GARDENS ORCHIDTEERS

Thursdays weekly

9:30 am

The Flamingo Gardens Orchidteers are a group of volunteers that meet weekly to mount new orchids and care for existing orchids while gaining hands-on experience. Their mission is to develop Florida native and exotic orchid repositories to build awareness, interest, and education at Flamingo Gardens.

Volunteers assist in cataloging, tagging, mounting, fertilizing and watering the vast collection of beautiful species and hybrids located throughout the Arboretum, Wray Lawn, Banyan Lawn, Wildlife area and along the Tram Trail. During the dry season, members also meet on Monday mornings to water the collection. The Orchidteers consist of volunteers from different orchid societies, to Master Gardeners, to orchid aficionados, and novices wanting to learn. Volunteers of all skill levels are welcome to join.

The Orchidteers meet every Thursday at 9:30 am at Flamingo Gardens.
