The Wray Home Museum is hosting a special highlight exhibit “Floyd & Jane Wray: South Florida’s Local Heroes”, now through May 11th.

In conjunction with the Broward Scavenger Hunt, a collaboration with the Museum of Discovery and Science (MODS) and ten other Broward museums, you can join a scavenger hunt adventure packed with exploration, learning, and the chance to win a cool prize!

Throughout the Wray Home, new informational panels highlight artifacts in the museum reflective of the influence that Floyd and Jane Wray had on South Florida.  Learn about the ways in which they helped to shape the landscape of the Broward County we know today. While you’re there, check out the new “Try Me” station where visitors can type on a typewriter and use a rotary phone!

Xavier Riddle and The Secret Museum is based on a popular television show airing on PBS Kids. It is inspired by the highly praised children’s book series Ordinary People Change the World by Brad Meltzer, a South Florida resident and #1 New York Times bestselling author and award-winning illustrator Chris Eliopoulos.

Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum: The Exhibit is on display from January 17 – May 11, 2025. The Broward Scavenger Hunt is a fun and engaging way for families to explore Broward’s rich history and attractions just like Xavier Riddle does with his friend and sister.

  • Download the passport at org/xavierpassport.
  • Visit other participating locations (see below) to learn about local and well-known historical figures, artists, and activists.
  • Find the Xavier Riddle graphic at each location, take a selfie, and save your photos. (Xavier is in the Wray Home Museum at Flamingo Gardens).
  • Visit at least three locations and the exhibit at MODS to qualify for a prize at MODS’s Explore Store.
  • Claim your prize by showing your photos at the MODS Explore Store located in the Atrium. Admission is not required to visit the store, which is open:
    • Monday to Saturday: 10 a.m. – 5:15 p.m.
    • Sunday: 12 p.m. – 5:15 p.m.
