About Flamingo Gardens

Located in Davie, Florida, just minutes from Fort Lauderdale,Flamingo Gardens is a nonprofit botanical garden and wildlife sanctuary dedicated to preserving the natural and cultural heritage of South Florida and the Everglades.

Spanning 60 acres, the Gardens feature more than 3,000 species of rare, exotic, and native plants alongside rescued Florida wildlife including flamingos, alligators, bobcats, otters, and birds of prey.

Originally founded as a citrus grove and botanical collection, Flamingo Gardens has evolved into a leading Everglades Learning Center and conservation-focused attraction.

Flamingo Gardens offers locals and international travelers a like a deeper connection to Florida, combining nature, wildlife, history, and conservation in one immersive experience.

Botanical Gardens

Explore lush tropical and subtropical landscapes featuring orchids, palms, cycads, and some of Florida’s largest “Champion Trees.”

Wildlife Sanctuary

Home to permanently injured or non-releasable native wildlife, offering guests a chance to see and learn about Florida’s iconic species up close.
