Rentals Frequently Asked Questions
Can I decorate the arch if I book an Elopement Package?
No. The Elopement Package is designed for a simple exchange of vows followed by a VIP photography session. Decorations are not permitted.
Can I add additional guests or seating to the Elopement Package?
No. The package includes seating for (5) guests plus the couple. Guest counts and seating arrangements cannot be modified.
Do I need liability insurance for my event?
Yes. All renters and vendors must provide proof of general liability insurance no later than two (2) weeks prior to the event.
Where can my guests park?
Guests may park in the main parking lots located at the entrance of Flamingo Gardens. Additional parking is available in the two lots across the street from the main entrance.
Is parking free?
Yes. Complimentary parking is available for all event guests.
Is there a noise ordinance?
We ask that all guests be respectful of the animals and their daily routines. Excessive noise may not be permitted.
How late can events be scheduled?
Private events may be booked until 12:00 a.m. (midnight).
Can I serve alcohol/wine/beer?
Yes. Alcohol service must begin after 5pm, after the gardens close. Alcohol service must conclude at least two (2) hours before the scheduled end of the event.
Do I have to use Flamingo Gardens' approved vendors?
Yes. Clients must select vendors from Flamingo Gardens' approved vendor list, click here. To request a copy, please email [email protected].
Can I bring my own food?
Food may be delivered by a restaurant or licensed caterer. All food deliveries must check in through Guest Services, as delivery personnel do not have direct access to the gardens.
Do you offer birthday party packages?
We no longer offer children's birthday party packages. However, the Everglades Outdoor Classroom and Flamingo Road Chickee are available for private rental.
What happens if my guest count exceeds the venue capacity?
If your guest count exceeds the reserved venue's capacity, additional fees may apply to expand the rental area or relocate your event to a larger venue, subject to availability.
Is Flamingo Gardens ADA accessible?
Yes. Flamingo Gardens complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and strives to make its facilities and programs accessible to all guests. Please note that some garden pathways may be uneven. Wheelchairs and motorized scooters are available for rent in the Gift Shop. All public buildings and the Narrated Tram Tour are accessible.

What if I need to make changes to my event?
Please submit any event updates via email at least two (2) weeks prior to your event. While we will do our best to accommodate requests, changes are subject to logistical and operational limitations.
Can I receive a refund?
All deposits and payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.
How do I reserve a rental space?
Complete the online inquiry form on the Rentals page and click "Get Started" to begin the booking process.
What payment methods do you accept?
A secure payment link will be emailed once your contract has been signed. For weddings and events with 100 or more guests, payment by check is required.
Can I reschedule my event?
Events may only be rescheduled in the event of a state of emergency, mandatory evacuation, severe weather conditions, or a closure of Flamingo Gardens.
How will my guests find my event location?
Directional signage will be placed throughout the property to guide guests to your event. When necessary, "Private Event – Area Closed" signage will also be displayed.
Do you provide decorations?
No. Clients are responsible for providing their own décor. Please review our list of prohibited items before booking.
Does Flamingo Gardens host weddings?
Yes. Flamingo Gardens hosts weddings from January through April, our preferred wedding season due to South Florida's weather conditions. Weddings are not offered outside of these months because of seasonal heat and inclement weather.
Weddings may be booked up to one year in advance. To begin the process, please submit a wedding inquiry form through our website. After reviewing your inquiry, our Rentals Coordinator will contact you to discuss your wedding vision, guest count, and event requirements.
The next step is a virtual consultation to determine whether Flamingo Gardens is the right fit for your special day and to review available wedding packages and pricing.
Are fans available in outdoor venues?
Yes. Ceiling fans are available in the Everglades Outdoor Classroom and Banyan Pavilion.
Is electricity available in outdoor venues?
Yes. All rental spaces have access to electrical power.
Do you offer military or first responder discounts?
While we greatly appreciate the service of military personnel and first responders, discounts are not currently available.
What is included with a rental space?
Rental spaces include round tables, rectangular tables, and standard folding chairs.
What size are the round tables?
Our round tables are 72 inches in diameter.
What sizes are the rectangular tables?
We offer both 6-foot and 8-foot rectangular tables.

Liability Insurance
All renters and vendors (caterers, photographers, florists, entertainment, rentals, etc.) are required to carry general liability insurance with a minimum of $1,000,000 per occurrence. You may purchase your liability insurance at https://www.theeventhelper.com or https://www.eventsured.com. ALL PERMITS & PROOF OF INSURANCE COVERAGE MUST LIST THE FOLLOWING AS CERTIFICATE HOLDER: Flamingo Gardens Inc. and Floyd L. Wray Memorial Foundation 3750 South Flamingo Road, Davie, FL 33330.
After Hour Fees
Any event that begins or runs past 5pm will incur a one-time $200 after hour charge. Additionally, events that run past 8pm will incur a $150/hour charge.
